West Ham United are reportedly edging closer to reaching an agreement to sign Man United right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

The defender is a candidate to leave Old Trafford this summer with Erik Ten Hag seemingly keen to replace the 26-year-old with Bayern Munich’s Noussair Mazraoui.

However, until the Red Devils can make a move for the Moroccan, they must first offload Wan-Bissaka, but according to a recent report from Sky Sports News’ Dharmesh Sheth, there is now a ‘degree of confidence’ the Hammers can finalise a deal.

Although there is still some work to be done, including the proposed transfer’s final fee, CaughtOffside understands that Wan-Bissaka, who has seen his minutes decrease under Ten Hag, is pushing for the move to go through.

Overall, this latest development is great news for West Ham and Julen Lopetegui, who hope to make United’s number 29 their fourth summer signing after Max Kilman, Luis Guilherme and Wes Foderingham.

During his five years at the club, London-born Wan-Bissaka, who has just 12 months left on his contract, has directly contributed to 15 goals in 190 games in all competitions.
