Brentford played in a spirited level Tuesday night with a 2-2 draw against Premier League defending champions, Manchester City.

The Bees came 2-0 from behind to level the score line at the Gtech Community Stadium.

Phil Foden had put the Cityzens in the lead with two strikes in the second half of the game.

The Englishman received a cross from Kevin De Bruyne in the 66th minute before slotting the ball into the net.

12 minutes later, Foden doubled the lead. Savinho took the ball towards the Brentford goal after a slip from Mads Roerslev. He took a fine attempt but was denied by the goalkeeper before Foden pounced on the rebound to assure the away team of a possible win.

However, Congolese striker, Yoane Wissa put the home team on the score sheet in the 82nd minute as he slammed a cross from Roerslev.

This strike takes Wissa’s EPL goals for Brentford to 37, becoming their top goalscorer.

Danish midfielder Christian Norgaard took a ‘leap of faith’ in the stoppage time.

He rose to a cross from Keane Lewis-Potter to earn the Bees a deserved draw.

Currently, Man City is in the sixth position with 35 points while Brentford sits in the 10th position with 28 points.
