Eric Bischoff sees even bigger things in the future for Rhea Ripley.
The former WCW boss is clearly a big fan of what she has been doing recently. Rhea Ripley’s rivalry with Liv Morgan and Dominik Mysterio has been one of the most heated in years, and helped make her an even bigger star in the WWE.
Speaking on his 83 Weeks Podcast, Eric Bischoff heaped praise on the former Women’s World Champion. He praised her uniqueness, calling Rhea Ripley “the Queen of Different Than”.
He added that he doesn’t think she peaked yet, and is excited to see where she goes from here. Eric Bischoff also praised her social media persona and how she hasn’t overexposed herself yet.
“I think Rhea [Ripley]—I’m just so excited about her because I believe she’s still on an upwards trajectory. I don’t think she’s peaked at all. She’s still got a lot of room to grow, and I’m excited for it. She’s very, very unique. You talk about ‘different than, better than, less than’—she’s the queen of ‘different than,’ and she’s made it work. She’s so unique.”
“Another thing I really like about her is that she’s not overexposed. She uses social media, but not to the point where you think, ‘Oh, another Rhea Ripley post.’ She’s judicious in how she uses it, and it really works for her. It keeps a bit of mystique, and I like that.”
Eric Bischoff Thinks WWE Should Have Waited To Bring Back Roman Reigns
Eric Bischoff wasn’t a fan of Roman Reigns’ return at Summerslam 2024.
In an episode of 83 Weeks Podcast, Bischoff revealed that he thought the WWE should have waited longer to bring back Roman Reigns.
While he doesn’t think the return wasn’t successful, he thinks it could have been even bigger if they had waited a bit longer.
“I got a little heat about that. Evidently, you and I had been talking about SummerSlam a week or two before the event, and I think you asked me whether or not it was the right time to bring Roman back, or if it was too soon. Evidently, I responded that I thought they should wait a little bit longer and take advantage of the ‘absence makes the heart grow fonder’ factor. Let that build and build, and then bring him back.”
“Roman came back and got an amazing reaction that I haven’t seen yet, and it worked out pretty well. But the question, you know, the heat that I got was, ‘See, you were wrong again. They brought Roman back, and they blew the roof off.’”
“I didn’t suggest that bringing him back wouldn’t be successful. My point of view was that perhaps could have been an even bigger reaction had we let that tea brew just a little bit longer. Anyway, I did hear it was a phenomenal reaction.”
