The Watch List looks at what matches you should be watching, and they are recommended by today’s professional wrestling stars.

WrestleZone spoke with Eric Young, who was asked to pick his favorite match since returning to TNA/Impact Wrestling in 2023. Young said he’s proud of his world title match against Moose at this year’s TNA Sacrifice event in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. EY shared why it meant so much to him before praising Moose as one of the best wrestlers around today.

“I think for me, one of my really special ones is me and Moose in Canada. It’s about 15 minutes from where I grew up, so I had a lot of friends and family there,” Young explained. “It’s for the World Title, and obviously I came up short. But sharing the ring with a guy like him, I mean, I said in promos leading up to it, ‘I think when it is all set and done, he’s going to be one of the best to ever do it.’ A bit of a savant when it comes to it and he just understands it on a [different] level. And obviously, physically opposing, and one of the best athletes to ever do it. And that’s a long list. It’s a really long list. That’s probably my favorite one coming back.”

Eric Young on Steve Maclin

Eric Young also pointed out his current on-air work with Steve Maclin and Josh Alexander. He initially met Maclin when they were together in NXT, noting that he can’t wait to see where their storyline leads next.

“Our last match was on the lead-up to the pay-per-view for Emergence. We wrestled Hammerstone and Jacobs. Coming up short again, but there’s something really special happening with me and him. And also happening with Jake [Something] and Hammerstone. The tag division is really strong right now,” he continued. “Having the Hardys there kinda leading the charge has energized the whole thing, energized TNA in general. Yeah, there’s something really special. I’ve been friends with Steve Maclin going on — I guess we first met in 2016 when I was at NXT. We’ve been pretty close friends and talk all the time. There is something really special happening there and I can’t wait to see where it leads.”
