Erik ten Hag is calling for his Manchester United players to some more “fight” in the second half of the season as the Reds try to climb up the Premier League table.
The next game for United is a home tie against Tottenham, who won the reverse fixture 2-0 at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium. The home side on the day secured their first win under the management of Ange Postecoglou and in the post-Harry Kane era.
However, since then we’ve had a torrid campaign under Ten Hag and currently sit 14 points behind leaders, Liverpool, after 20 matches.
Tomorrow we welcome fifth-placed Tottenham to Old Trafford in hope of turning around our season and hoping for a better 2024 following much needed investment from INEOS.

Speaking to reporters ahead of the game, Ten Hag has urged his players to “fight for the badge” as they look to climb back up the table.
“If you want to perform you need hungry players,” Ten Hag said, as per Yahoo. “You need players with personalities and who are hungry to fight for the badge and fight for this club. And they need to do this in a team. It’s not about discipline. It’s about normal behaviour. That is what you can expect from a top professional.”
Injuries haven’t been kind to United this season and we still have several players out recovering from long spells out. However, there is light at the end of the tunnel with the likes of Lisandro Martinez, Luke Shaw and Casemiro returning to the squad and available for selection. That takes some weight off the manager’s shoulders and it should help see our results pick up.
