Manchester United are looking to improve their attacking unit with the signing of Bologna striker Joshua Zirkzee.
The 23-year-old Dutchman has had an impressive campaign with Bologna and he scored 12 goals and picked up seven assists in all competitions. The striker is highly rated across Europe and he could prove to be a long-term acquisition for the Red Devils.
According to journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Manchester United have admired the player for a while, and they are likely to make a move this summer. Manager Erik ten Hag has already spoken to the player personally regarding a potential move.
It will be interesting to see if Manchester United follow up on their interest with an official proposal to sign the player. He has a €40 million release clause in his contract and Manchester United certainly have the financial muscle to afford him.

Joshua Zirkzee could transform Man United attack
He could solve their goalscoring problems next season. Zirkzee is more than just a goal scorer and he will add creativity to the Manchester United attack as well. He could form a solid partnership with Rasmus Hojlund and his arrival will allow the Denmark international to develop without being put under too much pressure.
Although Hojlund did quite well last season, he needs more support in the attack. Also, Manchester United will be hoping to compete for trophies and they need quality and depth in the side. Signing another reliable attacker should be a top priority for them. The 23-year-old Dutchman has a potential to succeed at a top club, and he could be a key player for Manchester United in the coming seasons.
