Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag has offered an injury update after three Red Devils had to be substituted because of an injury concern against Southampton.
There were many positives to take from the 3-0 Southampton win on Saturday but there were three concerns in the Manchester United backline.
Manchester United boss had to replace new signings Noussait Mazraoui and Matthijs De Ligt due to injury concerns.
The former Ajax boss also had to withdraw Lisandro Martinez who wasn’t keen on leaving the action, but the Red Devils boss proceeded with caution and made the substitution.
Ten Hag will be hoping he can avoid injuries in his backline this campaign because it was a key problem that he suffered from last year.

After replacing the three defenders, the Manchester United boss was later questioned on their fitness.
Speaking about De Ligt in his press conference via the official Manchester United website, Ten Hag said: “It looks like [cramp] yes.
Speaking to BeIN Sports per the club website, Ten Hag added: “We had internationals, short in the season, some are short in pre-season, some come from international flights so then you know you have a 12:30 game and you can struggle.
“Hopefully, it’s nothing serious, we have to assess it today, or tomorrow the we can see.”
