The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 13 reunion continues on Bravo Wednesday night with Part 2 of the special, and Erika Jayne is opening up about her experience.
During the first part of the reunion, Kyle Richards and Dorit Kemsley argued back and forth, with Jayne in the middle of her two co-stars. The situation was seemingly uncomfortable, and Jayne noted that her outfit helped make it look more dramatic.
“The couch is small, first of all, [and] we’re really kind of stacked in there,” Jayne told Deadline. “And then to see [them] having this conversation, and my shoulder pads, my ponytail, I literally had to be like… I felt like Homer Simpson in the hedge,” she said, referencing The Simpsons meme of Homer backing into a hedge.
Early on in the season, Kemsley asked Richards about any marital issues before the subject became a storyline with the rest of the group. As a close friend for years, Richards felt she was blindsided by Kemsley. However, despite their differences, Jayne thinks that the RHOBH co-stars can resolve their issues.
“I think that Kyle and Dorit will work their differences out,” she said. “There are a lot of emotions running around. We all care about each other, even though it may not look like it, and believe me, we all do. There are things that the audience will never know that we know about each other and things that we’ve held on to or kept. No one wants anything bad to happen to anybody, I don’t think — I certainly don’t. But, they need to work that out and I’m sure that they will because they care about each other.”
Jayne also weighed in on Crystal Kung Minkoff, who has been more vocal than in past seasons, which prompted the “Xxpen$ive” singer to say that she had finally found her voice.
“I would like to see more of the Crystal that I know off-camera, on-camera, because she is a lot of fun,” Jayne said. “She has a lot of things to say. I wish that she would throw away how she’s being perceived. You have to, at some point, let that go because it will inhibit who you are, and we’re there to give our opinion and be ourselves.”
She continued, “Not everything is flattering, and sometimes you’re going to be the only person that has your own view of things. But you have to be comfortable being in that space. You can check a lot of boxes: you can have the house, you can have the clothes, you can have the husband, you can have all of these things… But if you don’t know who you are inside and be willing to stand on that, that doesn’t translate, and that’s not a good housewife.”
Following the RHOBH Season 13 Reunion Part 2 on March 6, Jayne will chronicle her journey to her first Las Vegas residency in the two-part docu-series Bet It All on Blonde, airing at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
