Erling Haaland did not hide his delight as he celebrated Manchester City's win over Newcastle with a shot - but not one you would think.

City came from behind to beat Newcastle to reinvigorate their title charge as they now trail league leaders Liverpool by two points.

And Pep Guardiola can thank Kevin De Bruyne, who after four months out took just four minutes to get on the score sheet.

The Belgian came on after an hour and completely changed the game, delivering a sweet strike to level the scores at 2-2 before a sumptuous pass found Oscar Bobb for the winner.

While missing through injury, Haaland was ecstatic as he watched from home, taking to social media.

The Norwegian posted a series of photos on his Instagram story, which included putting a king emoji on De Bruyne, followed by a selfie where he flexed his muscles in celebration.

And the next photo saw him post up a shot of milk, captioned: "Need a shot after that."

It was a reference to Haaland's unique diet when he admitted that the secret weapon to his goalscoring prowess was milk.

Last year, he posted a picture of himself with two bottles of the white stuff and wrote: "Me and my secret potion."

Haaland is expected to miss the rest of January through injury, but could be back next month.

With City chasing the title, it is a huge blow, but the return of De Bruyne will give them the belief to overtake Liverpool.

The midfield maestro took mere moments to find the back of the net after a lengthy lay-off, sliding in a precise shot past Martin Dubravka.

And while he is used to supplying Haaland goals, it was a different Norwegian that he assisted on Saturday as he found Bobb with a laser-like pass in the first minute of stoppage time.

The 20-year-old still had plenty to do as he left Kieran Trippier on the deck before dancing around Dubravka to score a dramatic winner.

Bernardo Silva had opened the scoring for City with a delightful flick.

But a quickfire double from Alexander Isak and Anthony Gordon saw the game turn on its head.

Newcastle looked to defend after the break as City threatened before Guardiola sent De Bruyne to wreak havoc - and he promptly delivered.
