Manchester City was beaten in the FA Cup final by United (2-1) on Saturday at Wembley, and Erling Haaland has still not scored in a final with Pep Guardiola’s team. This is starting to do a lot.

Erling Haaland has still not won a final for Manchester City. The incredible Norwegian goalscorer completed his second season under Pep Guardiola with 38 goals in all competitions (after his total of 52 last year). He did not score in the FA Cup final lost by his team against Man United (2-1) on Saturday afternoon, the Red Devils winning a trophy in this derby played at Wembley.

The results are terrible: Haaland is now in six finals without a goal or assist with Man City. The former Dortmund star had completed his first season without scoring in the semi-finals and finals contested by his English team. Note that the 23-year-old has also not scored in the four Champions League matches he has played against Real Madrid over the last two seasons. Problematic…

Erling Haaland non-existent

Followers of English football will not fail to point the finger at Erling Haaland after this failed FA Cup final. Stuck in a particularly compact opposing block (but like every Premier League weekend), the 1.94 m center forward did not exist at all. Especially since Bruno Fernandes’ men led 2-0 in the 39th minute after goals from Alejandro Garnacho (30th) and Kobbie Mainoo (39th).

Haaland touched only 21 balls in 90 minutes, only hit twice on goal, off-target, in the second half, and did not complete a pass before a shot in the match. Catastrophic! Kevin De Bruyne never managed to put him in a position to score…
