Harry Redknapp thinks that Erling Haaland will be checking over his shoulder for Erling Haaland.

The former Spurs boss thinks the Newcastle United striker will be the biggest threat to Haaland’s golden boot hopes this coming season.

Harry Redknapp declaring that ‘Alexander Isak is such a top striker.’

Redknapp thinks Newcastle United will have a good season and whilst Isak didn’t score, he was excellent in the opening weekend win over Southampton.

Playing with 10 men, Newcastle United saw Isak make the winning goal and also put Harvey Barnes through for a second goal, only for the former Leicester winger’s touch to let him down when he’d got away from the Saints defence.

Harry Redknapp speaking to Betvictor about Newcastle United ahead of Sunday’s match at Bournemouth:

“The Eddie Howe derby!

“Bournemouth weren’t at their best away to Nottingham Forest but they always give every side that comes here a game.

“They’ve lost their star man in Dominic Solanke but they’ve spent a lot of money on his replacement from Porto, that’s a lot of pressure for Evanilson this season!

“What a big win that was for Newcastle last week.

“I fancy them to have a good season, but I’ve got to say, I thought they would be busier in the transfer window.

“It looks like they’ll be getting a new centre-back in imminently, that would make a big difference.

“With Fabian Schar suspended, Newcastle might have a few defensive issues.

“Prediction: Bournemouth 2 Newcastle 2.

“One to watch – Alexander Isak is such a top striker. I think he’ll be Haaland’s biggest threat for the Golden Boot and he could open his account here.”
