“Euphoria” star Dominic Fike got candid about show creator Sam Levinson hiring a “random lady” to help him stay sober while he was filming Season 2.

“I actually am a pretty big drug addict myself, believe it or not,” Fike, who played an addict named Elliot in the popular TV series, told Variety in an interview published Friday.

“When I was on ‘Euphoria,’ they kind of just gave me a coach who would just talk to you. It was just some random lady,” he added.

However, the actor, 28, said the plan backfired because the “sober coach” was someone he would “never relate to.”

“We had nothing in common. We didn’t come from the same places or the same problems. It was hard to take advice from someone like that or give a s—t,” he said.

However, the “Babydoll” singer told Variety that the plan didn’t work. HBO

The “Babydoll” singer — whose newest film “Little Death” premiered at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival this past week — explained that it was easier to play an addict in his latest role over “Euphoria” because the film’s director Jack Bergert is “one of [his] best friends.”

As for his involvement in the HBO series, Fike told the outlet that his future in Season 3 is unclear.

“Last time I talked to them, it was cool, [but] I don’t really talk to them anymore,” he shared.

Though he added that it would be “dope” if he received a call for the forthcoming season.

“Who knows, I’ve got stuff to do,” he continued.

Meanwhile, Fike wasn’t the only “Euphoria” star on the screen at Sundance.

Late actor Angus Cloud was honored at the event for his role in “Freaky Tales.”

“My first day, as we went to go do the work at the house, I got to meet Pedro [Pascal], I got to meet Ben Mendelsohn and I got to meet Angus Cloud,” his co-star Jay Ellis said onstage Thursday.

“Rest in peace to Angus,” he added. “He gave such a great performance.”

Addressing the tribute, Fike told Variety, “I just miss him.”

Cloud was found dead in his family’s Oakland, Calif., home in July 2023.

He died from an accidental overdose of fentanyl, cocaine, methamphetamine and more, Page Six confirmed in September.
