Euro 2024: Italy’s list with 2 huge absences!

Luciano Spalletti communicated this Thursday a pre-list of 30 players for Euro 2024.

After France, Germany, England, Portugal and the Netherlands, the list of players of the Italian selection summoned for Euro 2024 is now known.

It is rather a pre-list of 30 elements, communicated this Thursday by the Italy coach, Luciano Spalletti. Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma is obviously one of them, as the number 1 goalkeeper of the Nazionale.

2 very notable absences

On the other hand, 2 important names in Italian football are missing for this European Championship: Marco Verratti, who seems to be permanently away from the selection since his exile in Qatar, at Al-Arabi, and the striker Ciro Immobile , who nevertheless remains prolific with Lazio Rome.

For the rest, the Bastoni, Barella, Jorginho and even Chiesa executives are present a few weeks before the tournament kicks off. As a reminder, Italy will challenge Albania on June 15, before facing Spain on June 20 then Croatia on June 24 in the group stage.
