Barcelona are keen on signing Liverpool winger Luis Diaz at the end of the season.
According to a report via Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona president Joan Laporta had dinner with the agent of the Liverpool attacker as they discussed a potential move for the player.
However, Liverpool are demanding a fee of around €120-140 million for the Colombian international and Laporta believes that the demand is not feasible. Barcelona are going through financial difficulties and they will not be able to afford that kind of money for the winger.
It remains to be seen whether they decide to test Liverpool’s resolve with a more reasonable offer in the coming months.

Luis Diaz could transform Barcelona
Diaz has established himself as a key player for Liverpool and his departure would weaken them in the attack. The Colombian is versatile enough to operate on both flanks and he will add flair, pace and goals to the Barcelona attack.
The opportunity to join a club like Barcelona can be quite tempting for South American players and it wouldn’t be surprising if the 27-year-old is tempted to join them at the end of the season. However, Liverpool will not want to let a key player leave for a knockdown price and Barcelona will have to shell out a premium. It remains to be seen whether the Spanish giants come forward with an official approach.
Diaz has 11 goals and five assists to his name across all competitions this season. He is at the peak of his powers right now and the 27-year-old could hit the ground running in La Liga.
