The French team lost in the final of the Euro Under-19 this Sunday in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

Against Spain, the Bleuets lost 0-2, surprised by a goal from Iker Bravo (41e) and an own goal from Jérémy Jacquet (69e).

The expulsion of Yoni Gomis in the last quarter of an hour (77e) cut short the hopes of a comeback for Bernard Diomède’s men, who will not offer France its first continental title since 2016 in this age category.

La Roja, on the other hand, triumphed for the ninth time in its history in a U19 European Championship – a record.
