Eva Longoria Donating $1 Million to L.A. Fire Relief Efforts Thanks to Jeff Bezos

Eva Longoria has pledged a $1 million donation to assist with the fire recovery efforts in Los Angeles.

The actress founded the Eva Longoria Foundation in 2012 and last year, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos awarded her $50 million of his money to distribute to causes of her choice. She has 10 years to spend the money.

After previously matching $50,000 worth of donations to This Is About Humanity with her own money, Eva has decided to also use funds from the Bezos Courage and Civility Award.

THR reports that Eva will be giving the funds to the Latino Community Foundation and the California Community Foundation with the hopes of “addressing the immediate needs as well as long-term recovery for those affected by both the Palisades and Eaton fires.”

Eva previously said, “My heart breaks for the City of LA and the devastating fires that have affected so many lives. I’m personally matching $50k to @thisisabouthumanity’s efforts to support frontline essential workers, farm workers, day laborers and families impacted by these wildfires. I hope we can come together and support these resilient members of our community. Share, repost or donate if you can.”
