The popular Nigerian actress Okuneye Idris Olanrewaju, better known by her stage name Bobrisky, has proclaimed that she is a woman and that other women must embrace her as one of the sisterhood’s members.

This declaration appears in a new post with the caption: “Women have no choice. They have to accept me as part of the sisterhood. “I’m a woman.”

Bobrisky made the announcement following her win of the best-dressed female award.

Numerous Nollywood celebrities and anxious Nigerians have commented on the surprising development of winning the prize in spite of not being a biological woman.

Bobrisky released a fresh statement in reaction to the criticism that followed the prise, stressing that he should be respected by both women and men alike and shouldn’t be judged based only on the fact that she identifies as a woman.

He continued by saying that since she identifies as a woman, women ought to welcome her as a sisterhood member.
