Harry Kane has been accused of being 'selfish', making 'everything' about him and someone who is being laughed at by 'everyone in England'.

That is the astonishing view of Manchester United icon Paul Parker, who has also stated Tottenham 'should be happy' the 30-year-old joined Bayern Munich.

The England captain has been nothing short of sensational since he swapped Spurs for Bavaria last summer in a deal worth around £100million.

His strike in Saturday's 3-2 victory against Augsburg brought his tally to 27 goals in all competitions this season - with 23 coming in the Bundesliga.

But Parker has insisted Kane, who has also notched up eight assists, only cares about himself in his quest to break Robert Lewandowski's single-season record of 41 German top-flight goals.

He also stated that the Spurs legend's trophy cabinet will remain empty - despite Bayern sitting just two points behind league leaders Bayer Leverkusen, while they're also still competing in the Champions League.

Parker, who won five major honours at Old Trafford during the 1990s, made the savage remarks when speaking to German news outlet Wettfreunde.

He said: “As much as I'm not a big fan of Harry Kane, you have got to respect the amount of goals he is scoring.

"It's definitely impressive. The problem is that he is not good to have around. The only thing he is focusing on is beating Lewandowski's record.

"That's the only thing he cares about and then he can come back to the Premier League to take another record. He is very selfish.

"Look, everyone is laughing about him in England. People were talking about him leaving because he wanted to win trophies and he is not winning anything.

"On the flipped side of things, Tottenham are doing extremely well. I said it when he was there, they would be better without him.
