New recruit to RMC, Patrice Evra made a remarkable debut on the station.

Over the years, Jérôme Rothen strengthens his casting in his show “ Rothen ignites“.

The former French international surrounded himself with many personalities. These include Nicolas Anelka, Jean-Michel Larqué, Lionel Charbonnier, Mathieu Bodmer, or more recently Christophe Dugarry and Emmanuel Petit. But it would have been difficult to imagine Patrice Evra in the former Parisian’s program.

The information was however communicated this week by Evra himself, in a tone specific to the person concerned.“I’m coming to RMC, you know very well that I’m going to blow up! Yes guys, you asked for me, you shouldn’t have invited me! ». After making his big debut this Friday, Patrice Evra left no one indifferent. Including within the media.

Evra and Dugarry are at odds

According to information from L’Équipe, the presence of the former Manchester United left-back would force Jérôme Rothen not to mix all his consultants. Christophe Dugarry, another star consultant on the show also renowned for his outspokenness, would like to avoid sharing air time with Evra.

The two men maintain very fresh relations after comments made by Evra towards Dugarry, in an interview given to William Gallas in 2017.

“My brother said to me: ‘You have to take care of Duarig.’ (…) If he has a problem with me, let him come to Marseille, we talk about it, we discuss it, there is no problem…”. It remains to be seen whether Patrice Evra and Christophe Dugarry can bury the hatchet. After all, the former Mancunian got on well with Jérôme Rothen, who had been his friend at Monaco during his first life as a player…
