A former Sole Administrator of Giade Local Government Area and former member of the Bauchi State House of Assembly, Hon. Adamu Bello, has officially returned to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) after leaving the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Adamu Bello, a founding member of the APC in Bauchi State and a prominent political figure in Bauchi North Senatorial District, announced his decision on Tuesday, citing the continued support of Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Mohammed, for his community as the key factor behind the move.
Bello played a pivotal role in ensuring APC’s victory in Giade LGA during the last general elections, making his defection a significant blow to the party in the state.
In a statement, Bello expressed that his constituents, who have always been at the forefront of his political career, urged him to join the PDP to better advance their community’s interests.
He said, “I have always been a voice for my people, and they have asked me to take this step so that we can continue to progress.
“Governor Bala Mohammed has demonstrated a deep commitment to the development of our region, and his leadership has been a beacon of hope for the people of Giade and Bauchi State at large.”
Adamu Bello added, “The APC, on the other hand, has failed to recognize the value of my efforts and the needs of our people, prompting this shift to PDP where our collective future can be better secured.”
