Alan Pardew believes there will be no shortage of applicants for the vacant Rangers job.
And the former Newcastle boss is interested in the role himself as he eyes a return to the dugout.

Rangers sacked Philippe Clement on Sunday following less than 18 months in charge at Ibrox.
The Belgian's exit came after his side were beaten 2-0 at home by St. Mirren on Saturday afternoon.
As a result, bitter rivals Celtic remain 13 points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership with 11 matches remaining.
Barry Ferguson is set to take over as boss until the end of the season, with a permanent successor not yet confirmed.
Former manager Steven Gerrard has been tipped for a return to the club over three years after his departure.
Gerrard won Rangers' last league title without losing a match during his final full season in 2020/21.
The 44-year-old is available after leaving his role as Al Ettifaq boss last month, however talkSPORT understands he would be unlikely to take it until April due to potential tax issues in Saudi Arabia.
However, Pardew has now commented on his own interest in taking the role.
He discussed the vacant position with talkSPORT co-host Faye Carruthers on The Final Word on Sunday.
Asked about being interested in replacing Clement, Pardew explained: "I think you know any manager who's out of work would be interested in Rangers.

"It's a big club and you know, there's obviously noises from up there that all is not well and they do look some way away, I mean I watched Celtic’s performance in the week.
"I thought they were absolutely brilliant. I mean that's as good a Celtic performance I've seen maybe since they played Barcelona under Neil Lennon.
"They were terrific and they were very very unlucky. And not to take that into extra time, etc and maybe go through.
"But Rangers, I mean a home defeat for Rangers by St. Mirren don't even sound right."
Pardew has been away from the dugout since leaving Greek side Aris in February 2023 following 21 matches in charge.
The former Premier League has amassed 109 wins from 318 matches in the top flight during his managerial career.

Those victories came across spells with West Ham, Charlton, Newcastle, Crystal Palace and West Brom.
Pardew guided the Hammers to promotion to the Premier League in 2005 and has reached two FA Cup finals as a manager.
