WWE NXT delivered one of the most enthralling and groundbreaking events at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas with NXT Battleground last night. However, an ex-WWE star took a shot at the fans in attendance for something he felt was insulting to do on their part.

During the high-stakes showdown between TNA Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace and Roxanne Perez for her coveted NXT Women’s Championship, the fans erupted in loud chants for popular TNA star Joe Hendry, who was not in town but is one of the names rumored to be expected for future NXT appearance as part of WWE’s collaboration with TNA.

This led former WWE superstar Top Dolla to take to his X and berate the audience in Las Vegas. He believed that the fans chanting for Joe Hendry during one of the most spectacular bouts on the card that lived up to its expectations was an act of disrespect shown to both Jordynne and Roxanne who put up a stellar match.

“Those idiot fans chanting about Joe Hendry during an absolute BANGER of a Woman’s Title Match is exactly how you can tell how stupid people that support him are 💰 #NXTBattleGround.”

The exceptional in-ring showdown saw NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez pick up the win over Jordynne Grace to retain her title. Moreover, the match also saw the surprise appearance of TNA star Ash By Elegance, which could be another hint towards Joe Henry being the next superstar from TNA Wrestling to make an NXT appearance in the near future.

Do you think Top Dolla makes a fair point regarding fans disrespecting Roxanne Perez and Jordynne Grace by chanting for Joe Hendry during their match at NXT Battleground? Sound off in the comments!
