WWE released a few members of their roster in September, and now those names are making their way out into the pro wrestling world again. It appears that some of them are also bringing in some money for those promoters who book them.
Mustafa Ali has a lot going on after his WWE release. The possibilities are out there for him to do a lot in the pro wrestling scene, and it appears that he is generating ticket sales.
Sean Sapp noted behind Fightful’s paywall that Mustafa Ali has been moving a lot of tickets for the indie companies that they have seen a real response to booking him on their shows. Ali has a name as a former WWE Superstar, and these will be the first shows that he has after his release.
We’ve heard from indie promoters that Mustafa Ali’s impact on ticket sales for some of his first events are the most they’ve seen for a WWE departure in years.
Mustafa Ali was having a nice run in NXT, and he was in line for an NXT North American title match, but then he was cut. Now, he is on his own, and it appears that fans are going to show up and see what he has in store for everyone.
