Velveteen Dream has been out of action in the squared circle for a couple of years now. The former NXT star had a fair share of controversies to deal with which led to WWE releasing him in May 2021. This came in after Dream had numerous allegations to his name, keeping him out of the ring since then.

In 2020, Velveteen Dream was accused of sending inappropriate and indecent images to minor boys, which he denied. Soon after that, he was accused of sending indecent images to minor girls and having ‘inappropriate communication’ to boys he was grooming.

Since his release from WWE back in 2021, Dream made his in-ring appearance for the first time at Dynasty, a show based in New York. He interrupted the first match of the show to issue an open challenge, marking his return to the squared circle.

However, before his in-ring return, back in 2022, he was also arrested twice. A month ago, Dream uploaded video on Instagram apologizing to WWE, Triple H, and Shawn Michaels for all the negative attention he brought to the company due to his actions.

Though most of the allegations on him have not been proved true, fans have settled in with a negative image of Dream as a star. With his return to the ring at Dynasty, starting everything new could help him get back to the positive light.
