Suspended four matches, two of which were closed, after his altercation with the Congolese Chancel Mbemba, Walid Regragui saw his sanction canceled.

Good news for Morocco! The appeal jury of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) canceled the sanction against Walid Regragui this Friday. “This cancellation also applies to the fine imposed by the CAF disciplinary jury on Mr. Regragui. These decisions of the CAF appeal jury come following the defense arguments presented by the FRMF”specifies the latter in a press release.

Walid Regragui was initially suspended for four matches, two of which were suspended, for having clashed with Marseillais Chancel Mbemba at the end of the draw between the Atlas Lions and the Democratic Republic of Congo (1-1) , last Sunday, on the occasion of the last day of the group stage of the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations.

The coach of the 2022 World Cup semi-finalists will therefore be present on the sidelines during his team’s round of 16 match against South Africa, next Tuesday in San-Pédro.
