Arsenal could be set to face competition from Tottenham for the transfer of Pedro Neto this summer, though it will still take some time to see how this saga will unfold.
According to Fabrizio Romano, as he spoke exclusively to CaughtOffside for his latest Daily Briefing column, Neto’s future will hinge on Wolves deciding their position on the Portugal international, as well as his asking price.
Still, even though Arsenal have long been linked with Neto, it seems they can also expect some competition for his signature if they do pursue him this summer, with Romano also naming Spurs as potential rivals in this deal.
Neto has impressed with Wolves and he could be a useful addition for Arsenal or Tottenham, who could both do with strengthening their depth of attacking options.
Neto transfer update from Fabrizio Romano’s latest column
Pedro Neto to Arsenal or Tottenham?Discussing Neto’s future and how he might feature in Arsenal’s plans, Romano said: “Arsenal have some wingers in their sights for the summer, but while it’s normal to see a long list of names linked with clubs in this situation, who’s really emerging as the main options on Arsenal’s list?
“Pedro Neto is a player Arsenal like and have looked at before, but we have to wait for Wolves to decide initial price tag to understand what Arsenal, Tottenham and more clubs will decide to do.”

AFC supporters will no doubt feel Neto could be a useful option to give Mikel Arteta more depth and allow him to rest Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli a bit more often, while THFC might do well to bring in competition for the likes of James Maddison and Brennan Johnson.
Neto might well find Arsenal a more tempting option given their current trajectory under Arteta, but Ange Postecoglou is also doing exciting things with Spurs and might also give him the chance to play more often.
