After Shabana Azmi and Ramesh Sippy, the third guest gracing the couch of Arbaaz Khan’s The Invincibles season 2 is the beautiful and talented Asha Parekh. During a candid conversation with the host, the ‘Teesri Manzil’ got candid about several things, including being ‘married’ to Shammi Kapoor, not getting along with Shatrughan Sinha and more.
During the chat, the actress also recalled working with Guru Dutt and called him an actor with a ‘childlike’ personality. Read on to know why she feels the actor deserves the tag.
Asha Parekh call Guru Dutt ‘childlike’
When asked about working with Guru Dutt and what she thinks of him, Asha Parekh responded, “He was very childlike.” During the chat, Arbaaz Khan recalled an instance when a fan brought the actress three packets of cashew nuts and Guru Dutt demanded he be given one too. When asked if she finally shared her goodies with him – as he really wanted one, Asha Paresh immediately replied, “No, I didn’t give him.”
Asha recalls memorable incident with Dutt at airport
Elaborating about the incident, the veteran actress said, “He said, ‘Mujhe bhi ek chahiye,’ toh maine kaha, ‘Nahi. Main nahi dungi. Aap ko bola tha Koilon chalne ko, aap kyu nahi chale?’ (I won’t give it to you. You should have come to Koilon, why didn’t you?) We were invited some place aur waha se woh dabbe aaye. Airport pe what he did was… He managed to take me away aur waha se woh ek dibba uthake woh bhag rahe the. I( was like), ‘Yeh kya kar rahe hai?’ (What is he doing?)’ (I said), ‘This is my dabba, you give it back to me.’ He’s absolutely childlike.”
