Brighton failed in their attempts to sign PSV centre-back Olivier Boscagli in the summer transfer window.
The Premier League club have not given up on signing the French defender and according to Caught Offside sources, the Seagulls are ready to make another move for the defender in the January transfer window.
Brighton manager Fabian Hürzeler is looking for a new centre-back to strengthen his defense and he has set his sights on a move for the PSV defender, who has made up his mind to play in the Premier League.
Boscagli was identified as the club’s primary transfer target in the summer transfer window but Brighton’s advances were rejected by the Dutch club.
The defender is set to become a free agent at the end of the season and Brighton are hoping to use his contract situation to sign him for a bargain fee in January.
The Premier League club can also wait till the end of the season to sign the 26-year-old for free.
The Seagulls had an eventful summer transfer window following the arrival of Hürzeler at the club.
PSV defender Olivier Boscagli is being targeted by Premier League club Brighton.

They added Yankuba Minteh, Ibrahim Osman, Mats Wieffer, Malick Yalcouye, Brajan Gruda, Georginio Rutter, Matt O’Riley and Ferdi Kadioglu to their ranks.
Brighton face competition from Inter Milan to sign Boscagli
Brighton’s failure to sign Boscagli in the summer has now allowed Inter Milan to join the race to sign the defender.
Caught Offside sources have been told that the Italian giants have joined Brighton in the race to sign the defender, as they are looking for 36-year-old Francesco Acerbi’s heir.
The Serie A winners have asked information about the defender and the finances needed to bring him to San Siro.
Inter are interested in signing the defender on a free transfer in the summer and they can present a winning project to Boscagli, unlike the Premier League club.
It is an open race to sign the French defender at the moment but Brighton will be encouraged by the player’s desire of playing in the Premier League.
