Chelsea’s 2023/24 Premier League season is limping to its conclusion and once it’s all over, owner, Todd Boehly, and members of his board will sit down with Mauricio Pochettino to decide whether to give the Argentinian another year in charge or sack him.
It’s certainly been a disappointing campaign for the Blues who find themselves in seventh position in the English top-flight with two games to go.
Given how long they were much lower in the table, Pochettino can at least point to an improvement in the second half of the season, even if it still might not be considered good enough by the powers that be.
Chelsea looking at Chris Fuhrich
Too many new players and too many young players at that has hamstrung the manager and his backroom staff, though one has the feeling that Boehly isn’t a man to listen to excuses.
Regardless of the managerial situation at the club, the West Londoners will almost certainly be major players in the summer transfer market.
Chelsea looking at Stuttgart’s Chris FuhrichAccording to CaughtOffside sources with knowledge of Chelsea’s transfer plans, the club have checked on the situation of Stuttgart’s 26-year-old German winger Chris Fuhrich.
The player has a release clause of about €30m but it’s understood that he sees it as a great advantage that Stuttgart will play in the Champions League next season, something that Chelsea will not be able to do.

Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund and Bayer Leverkusen are also keeping tabs on Fuhrich and waiting for any movements from the player’s camp.
Once the Bundesliga season ends, CaughtOffside sources indicate that many other clubs, from the Bundesliga, La Liga and the Premier League, will consider joining a growing band of admirers, potentially pushing the player’s transfer fee up further.
