Nikkhil Advani on reuniting with Shah Rukh Khan
Speaking of why he didn’t reunite with Shah Rukh after Kal Ho Naa Ho, Nikkhil said, “I don’t have a subject.” When chimed about his streak of success with action movies in 2023 and making one with him Nikkhil adds, “I don’t want to do an action film with him. Siddharth Anand is doing an action film with him. Sujoy is doing an incredible action film with him, some of the stuff he did with Kahaani was commendable. So I don’t want to do. I would like to do The Bridges of Madison County remake with him. But I don’t have it as yet but when I do I will go to him and I hope he agrees to do it.”
Nikkhil further states how he was lean to do an action with King Khan earlier. He states, “I only wanted to do an action film with Shah rukh earlier. We used to sit on the sets of Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham and only discuss about terrorism and how will we execute such scenes. But Karan Johar made us do Kal Ho Naa Ho.”
For those unversed, Kal Ho Naa Ho released in 2003 also featured Preity Zinta and Saif Ali Khan. The film continues to rule hearts even today.
