Manchester United are delighted with the recent exploits of Antony as a bidding war could ensue for his services.
The 25-year-old endured two and a half underwhelming campaigns at Old Trafford after being recruited by his old Ajax boss Erik ten Hag in the summer of 2022. The Red Devils splashed £86 million for the winger’s services, but the latter struggled to justify this hefty amount.
So with the Dutch manager getting the sack in October, it didn’t take long for Antony to follow. The Brazilian secured a loan move to Real Betis where he immediately found his footing. In fact, the Andalusians have been absolutely delighted with his magical form, as he managed to make five direct contributions in his first six appearances for the club.
So according to sources close to Stretty News, Betis are now looking to open talks with Man Utd in the coming days as they hope to secure Antony’s services on a permanent deal. The initial agreement between the two clubs doesn’t include an option to buy, so the Spaniards are aiming to find a new accord.
Man United looking to collect £40 million from Antony sale

However, this could be a daunting mission for the Green-and-White club, as United are equally delighted by Antony’s exploits which have given them more leverage. So while Betis are set to table an offer in the region of €20-25 million, Man Utd are holding out for at least €40-50 million.
As our sources reveal, INEOS believe they can collect the aforementioned figures thanks to the player’s impressive displays as of late. He has thus attracted interest from Juventus as well as two clubs from the Saudi Pro League. Hence, Real Betis risk being priced out.
Antony’s contract with the Premier League giants remains valid until the summer of 2027, while his salary is circa £200,000, which is another key reason why the club is keen to offload his services.
