Bayern Munich midfielder Joshua Kimmich could yet be on the move this summer.
Sources close to CaughtOffside have confirmed that both Liverpool and Manchester are ready to open negotiations with Bayern Munich for the transfer of the German international.
The Merseysiders have been prompted into prioritising the former RB Leipzig star now that Juventus are leading the race to sign Atalanta midfielder Teun Koopmeiners.
The 29-year-old is also reportedly an option for Real Madrid in the current window.

The Bayern star (described as ‘world-class’ by Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, via footballfancast.com) currently earns €20m [£16.9m] annually at the Allianz Arena.
The Bavarian giants are ready to accept offers of €30m [£25.4m] for the German star whose current terms are set to expire in the summer of 2025.
What would Kimmich bring to Liverpool & Manchester United?
Importantly for Liverpool, the versatile footballer – who can also play at right-back – would plug a holding midfielder hole amidst the lack of a world-class operator at No.6.
The Reds have called upon the services of 2023 signing Wataru Endo, who shared the role with Alexis Mac Allister last term. Though, it remains to be seen whether the Merseysiders opt to move for such an experienced operator in the summer market.
Likewise, Manchester United may find themselves in need of a top quality defensive midfielder should Casemiro depart this summer.
