West Ham United midfielder Lucas Paqueta would supposedly be more than keen to accept any potential transfer offer from Manchester City, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Speaking exclusively to CaughtOffside for his latest column for the Daily Briefing, Romano explained that Man City remain interested in Paqueta, even if talks between the two clubs are not taking place just now.
The Brazil international has impressed in his time in the Premier League, and it seems inevitable that he’ll earn himself a big move at some point in the future, though it remains to be seen for sure if City will come in for him again this summer after trying for him last year before the deal fell through.
Romano says City trying again for Paqueta could depend on a number of factors, so it might still be a bit early to be making any firm predictions on this one, but it seems the player himself would certainly be keen to accept an opportunity to move to the Etihad Stadium if it comes along.
Lucas Paqueta in action for West HamPaqueta transfer: West Ham star would be very keen on City move
Discussing fresh links between Paqueta and City, Romano said: “Another Manchester City story making headlines is strong links again with West Ham’s Lucas Paqueta. He’s always been one of the main names on their list. We all know last summer the deal was close then it collapsed.

“Paqueta would obviously be more than keen on that move, City interest remains but it will depend on multiple factors. It’s not something being discussed club-to-club at this point.”
City could do well to think about changing their midfield around a bit this summer, with the club yet to really replace Ilkay Gundogan since his move to Barcelona, as neither Mateo Kovacic nor Matheus Nunes have really lived up to expectations in Manchester.
