Revealing if he faced the same in the ’90s – being compared to brother Anil Kapoor, Sanjay said, “See it doesn’t happen. Even in that time, when I came in and everything… it’s a very initial thing.”

He continued, “For a film or two people talk about it, then they will forget about it. Today when a movie about Sonam comes, nobody talks about Sonam and Anil. When Arjun’s film comes, nobody speaks of Anil and Arjun or Arjun and me. It’s only for a film or two… it’s a normal thing, you have to take it in your stride. Finally, it’s your family, so you will be a little bit compared. After a while, it just dies a natural death. After that, it’s the kind of roles you do (that has people talking). Today especially the rules as soon different to when we started.”

On the professional front, Sanjay Kapoor was recently seen essaying the role of Rannvijay Singh – the pauper king, in the Pankaj Kapoor-Sara Ali Khan multistarrer Murder Mubarak. Before that he played a pivotal part in the Netflix film Merry Christmas, co-starring Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi.
