Exit-linked Barcelona forward ‘looking forward to working with Flick’

As the summer transfer window heats up, Barcelona’s Brazilian forward Raphinha finds himself at the centre of attention. 

However, despite ongoing speculation about his future, he has expressed his eagerness to work with new coach Hansi Flick ahead of the new season.

Raphinha’s arrival in the United States on Monday marked the beginning of a new chapter in his Barcelona journey. The former Leeds United player touched down in Orlando, Florida, ahead of his teammates, ready to dive into pre-season training. 

This marks his first meeting with Flick in person, an encounter delayed by his participation in the Copa America and subsequent vacation.

Wants to work with Flick

The Brazilia was caught by some representatives from SPORT which is when he revealed his excitement to start working with Flick, stating that he’s “really looking forward to starting to work with Flick” 

He also confessed to recharging his batteries during his holidays, ensuring he begins the pre-season with renewed energy and focus.

Raphinha’s commitment to Barcelona remains unwavering, despite rumours surrounding his future. In his first two seasons with the club, he has consistently delivered impressive performances, achieving at least 10 goals and 10 assists each year. 

His desire to continue at Barça is clear, but the reality is that his exit cannot be ruled out entirely. 

Saudi teams are extremely interested

Saudi Arabian clubs, particularly Al Hilal and Al Nassr, continue to show significant interest in the skilled winger. 

In fact, reports suggest that Barcelona has already received a bid worth over €60 million from Al Hilal, while Al Nassr are willing to spend over €100 million to secure Raphinha’s services. These lucrative offers have undoubtedly sparked debate about his future at the club.

As the pre-season progresses, Raphinha’s situation will be closely watched by fans and pundits alike. 

Will he remain a key player for Barcelona under Flick’s guidance, or will the allure of a lucrative deal in Saudi Arabia prove too great to resist? Only time will tell.
