Manchester United are looking to improve their defensive options this summer and Juventus defender Gleison Bremer is a target for them.

Fabrizio Romano has revealed to Give Me Sport that the 27-year-old Brazilian defender is on the shortlist at Manchester United, and it will be interesting to see if the Red Devils decide to sign him this summer.

He said: “Bremer remains the name they have on the shortlist, for sure.”

He has shown his quality in Serie A and he is certainly good enough for the Premier League as well. He will help Manchester United tighten up defensively.

The Red Devils were quite vulnerable defensively last season, conceding 58 goals in the league. They will have to improve in that department if they want to compete with Arsenal and Manchester City for the league title. Someone like Bremer will certainly help them improve and the opportunity to join one of the biggest clubs in the world will be quite attractive for the player as well.

Gleison Bremer might fancy Man United switch

The Brazilian defender is at the peak of his powers and he could look to test himself in the Premier League. Manchester United certainly have the resources to get the deal done and it remains to be seen how the situation develops.

Manchester United are looking at other options as well as they look to shore up the defensive unit before the new season begins. Raphael Varane has recently left the club upon the expiry of this contract and the French international defender will have to be replaced adequately.

Bremer certainly has the quality to thrive at Manchester United and it remains to be seen whether the two clubs can agree on a reasonable fee for him.
