The family of renowned Igbo gospel artiste, Jude Nnam also known as ‘Ancestor’ has dismissed reports alleging that he has been released from captivity.

TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) earlier reports that the music composer was kidnapped on a Thursday evening in Umunnachi, Anambra State after attending a church function.

However, there have been reports that the singer had been released from captivity.

Speaking in a statement, the family clarified that Nnam remains with his abductors, urging the public to disregard misleading reports about his release.

The singer’s further expressed gratitude to friends and well wishers for their prayers and concerns over the abducted singer.

The statement said: “Dear Friends of Dr. Jude Nnam, we want to appreciate you all for your prayers and concern for Him.

“Meanwhile, the message circulating on social media that he has been released by his captors is false and misleading. He is still with the abductors.

“By the Grace of God we all shall rejoice when he eventually comes out. Do continue in your prayers and support. God bless you.”
