Instagram users can’t zip it about this Oscars moment.

Emma Stone fans are coming to her defense after the “Poor Things” star’s zipper broke during the 2024 Oscars, flooding Louis Vuitton’s Instagram account with comments accusing the brand of poor craftsmanship.

The “La La Land” star, 35 — who wore a mint green peplum gown from the French fashion house for Sunday’s award show — wound up dealing with an embarrassing wardrobe snafu just as her name was announced as the winner of the best actress award for her role in “Poor Things.”

“My dress is broken; I think it happened during ‘I’m just Ken,'” she joked on the podium as she clutched her dress, referencing Ryan Gosling’s epic performance of the “Barbie” song from earlier in the night.

Indeed, the zipper on the back of the Louis Vuitton ambassador’s strapless gown was gaping wide open, although the style had a mint green panel underneath that prevented Stone from showing off more skin than she bargained for.

“The other night I was panicking, as you can kind of see happens a lot, that maybe something like this could happen,” the “Easy A” actress said during her acceptance speech.

Fans couldn’t help but weigh in on the incident after Louis Vuitton shared photos of Stone’s gown, like one who wrote, “Can a brand that makes a dress for an Oscar actress that doesn’t last even two hours without breaking be considered haute couture?”

Others compared the esteemed fashion house to shopping mall retailers, like one who wrote, “Now the whole world knows LV made dress at Zara quality…👍 Well done 😂.”

Another Instagram user agreed, writing, “I loved this dress but maybe make better quality zippers than one that I can find in an H&M.”

“She sure can win a “poor thing” award on top of the movie – after what happened to her dress…poor thing…poor Em ❤ we love you” a fourth fan wrote.

One person wrote, “Shame for the quality… The dress ruined such a special moment” while another joked, “Should have captioned: Even her zipper is bursting with pride.”

Luckily, Stone made a quick change into a sparkly silver Louis Vuitton look for the Vanity Fair Oscars party after the ceremony (and shared some rare PDA with husband Dave McCary).

As for her broken zipper, we have a feeling this will be a moment she’ll laugh about one day.
