Emi Martrinez’s father has teased a potential move away from the Premier League and Aston Villa for his son after his recent comments.
The Argentine shot-stopper has quickly established himself as one of the best goalkeepers in the Premier League since he left Arsenal with his World Cup heroics only confirming this more.
With Villa looking set to qualify for the Champions League this season as they currently sit in fourth place and three points ahead of nearest rivals Tottenham Hotspur, top sides will be keeping a close eye on some of their best players.
Emiliano Martinez’s father fuels Aston Villa rumours
At the top of that list will be Martinez with a lot of clubs no doubt being aware of his incredible qualities with his father now only adding fuel to the fire.
Speaking to TNT Sports, Alberto Martinez stated that he would like his son to move to a city with better weather.
“Because I love him, I would like him to go to a city with summer.” He said via TBR Football.
“At Aston Villa he is always in winter, and when he has holidays in May he comes to Mar del Plata. Clubs have to go wherever they want.”
Despite these comments, there is not much else that would indicate that the Argentine goalkeeper would even entertain an offer from abroad.
