Varun Dhawan shares first picture of daughter on Father’s Day
On the occasion of Father’s Day (Sunday, June 16), Varun took to Instagram and shared two pictures celebrating the special day. In the first image of his post, Varun’s daughter can be seen grasping her dad’s finger tightly. In the close-up image, Varun is seen dressed in traditional attire and his princess in a pink dress. While his daughter held his finger in the first pic, the next image sees VD holding his pet dog, Joey.
He captioned the post, “Happy Father’s Day. My father taught me that the best way to celebrate this day is by going out there and working for your family so Il be doing just that. Couldn’t be happier to be a girl dad.”
Friends and fans react
Several friends and fans of the actors took to the comments section to wish him on his first Father’s Day and pour in love for his daughter. Janhvi Kapoor took to the comments section and dropped several red hearts. Parineeti Chopra wrote, “Girl daddd VD, badaa ho gaya re tu!” The actor’s Citadel: Honey Bunny co-star, Samantha Ruth Prabhu left a couple of cute emojis and hearts. Maniesh Paul commented, “Best best best!!! Daughters are a blessing.” Zoya Akhtar also added some red heart emojis.
A fan commented on the post writing, “You already are the best dog dad and now you’ll be the best girl dad. Happy Father’s Day, hero!!” Another added, “Awwww, she’s the luckiest little girl, our tiny princess.” A third wrote, “I melted at the first slide and then I swiped and lost it.”
Varun Dhawan and Natasha Dalal welcomed their first child, a daughter on June 3. The new parents announced her arrival with a cute video on Instagram. The adorable clip featured an illustration of VD’s dog, Joey, welcoming him ‘lil sis’ home and a thankyou note for all the love and well-wishes.
