Manchester United are among a host of Premier League clubs hoping to prise in-form fullback Milos Kerkez from Bournemouth this year.

With INEOS chiefs now seemingly conceding that they cannot count on Luke Shaw being available for more than a handful of games each term, a natural left-back who will seamlessly slot into Ruben Amorim’s system is imperative.

As it stands, Diogo Dalot has been occupying the left wing-back role since Amorim took the reins last November, with Tyrell Malacia occasionally being called upon to feature after his season-long injury layoff. Unfortunately, he’s not really proven to be at the calibre Amorim requires as a starter, though that’s not to say he won’t be invaluable as a squad player.

Kerkez’s stellar form over the last year-and-a-half has seen him attract interest from the division’s top dogs; United, Manchester City and Liverpool have all shortlisted the Cherries ace, with i Paper claiming they’ve ‘already started to make contact with the player’s representatives’.

In doing so, the 21-year-old’s ideal destination has emerged; the report adds that he ‘favours a move to Anfield over the Manchester clubs’, which, while disappointing, isn’t too surprising given that Liverpool sit atop the table and are fiercely in the mix to win all four of the competitions they’re involved in.

Liverpool fans – and presumably Arne Slot – are demanding that the board find a ready-made successor to Andy Robertson, whose form has faltered as of late and is proving detrimental to the side’s performances.

Nonetheless, each interested side will have to wait until the summer to formally ignite their pursuit of the Hungarian international, as the Cherries have absolutely no intention of parting ways with their ‘explosive’ talent mid-campaign.

Kerkez has scored once and assisted three goals in 21 league appearances since 2024/2025 got underway – already exceeding his tally of one assist across the entirety of 23/24.
