Katherine Renee Kane is leaving FBI and her last episode just aired. The 32-year-old actress joined the cast in season three as a series regular, playing Special Agent Tiffany Wallace, and earlier this month she released a statement announcing her exit after three seasons. Now, the season seven premiere debuted tonight (October 15) and the way her character was written off was revealed. Keep reading to find out more… In the episode, titled “Abandoned,” the assassination of a seemingly ordinary Brooklyn plumber launches the team into a globe-spanning investigation that ruffles feathers with the CIA. Meanwhile, Tiffany struggles with fieldwork in the aftermath of the Hakim case. So, how did Tiffany’s exit from the series happen? Following the events of season six, where she promised Agent Hobbs’ family justice after he was killed by terrorist Hakim Siran, it was revealed that she needed time off. “It makes sense to need some time off,” Scola (John Boyd) told Tiffany in the season premiere, per TVLine. “This does not have to be permanent.” “Scola,” she responded. “Have you ever talked me out of anything? Ever? Once? Ever?” “Sorry,” she adds. “But there’s nothing more dangerous than having a partner who didn’t want to be in the field anymore, but stuck around anyway.” Later in the episode, after Maggie (Missy Peregrym) told Tiffany they should make time to get drinks, Tiffany noted she would be long gone as she is moving to Georgia to be close to her sister. “It wasn’t any one thing,” she said of why she was leaving. “I just wanted closure. I thought I’d get that after Hakim was gone; I didn’t.” If you missed it, find out who has joined FBI as a new series regular this season!
