FC Barcelona are close to completing their second arrival of the transfer window

The discontent is starting to rise on social networks and in the various programs that cover Barça news. While La Liga starts in just over two weeks and the summer preparation matches have already begun, FC Barcelona has only registered one arrival. It is Pau Victor, who was bought from Girona after a year on loan at Barça B, and who will be part of the first team squad this season. But clearly, Barcelona fans were expecting something big, especially after Joan Laporta’s promises at the start of the summer…

The Nico Williams case is also falling apart if we are to believe the latest information from the Iberian press, while the Dani Olmo operation still looks extremely complicated, even if an agreement has been reached with the player. And in terms of departures, it is also complicated, since if the club needs to bring in cash to recruit, there is not really a rush to the gate for players considered transferable by the management. Suffice to say that there are not many reasons to be optimistic for the rest of the transfer window…

Agreement imminent

There is some good news though. As indicated Sportthe club should be able to bring back João Cancelo after his loan last season. The Barça and Manchester City management have negotiated well in recent hours, supported by Jorge Mendes, and all parties involved are said to be close to an agreement for a new loan, with a mandatory purchase option this time. The outlines of a 4-year contract are also already ready.

The player even agrees to make significant financial sacrifices to be able to return to Catalonia. He only has a return to Barça in mind and has brushed aside the approaches of other interested clubs. Hansi Flick, the new Catalan coach, also wanted to have him in his squad for the coming season. The announcement of the Portuguese’s return could therefore happen in the coming days…
