Watford are a little late in the race for the play-offs but their 11th place, seven points from the last qualifying place available, is partly due to Yáser Asprilla’s good season. The 20-year-old Colombian has 6 goals and 4 assists in 31 Championship matches. Under contract until 2026, the right winger is starting to make a name for himself among European football recruiters and it will appear complicated to keep him for the Hornets in the event of failure to advance to the Premier League.

According to the Colombian daily El Nacionaland confirmed by Sport, the left-hander has entered the little papers of FC Barcelona. Always fond of players capable of overflowing and eliminating one on one, the Blaugranas will however have to pay the price. Arriving in England in January 2022 for €3 million from Envigado, Asprilla would cost at least €40 million. An almost impossible sum for the Catalans, still plagued by financial worries.
