The FC Barcelona season is over. Champion of Spain last year, the Catalan club said goodbye to its last title chances last weekend by losing to Real Madrid in the final minutes. Despite this failed season on a sporting level, the Catalans can boast of having laid several important foundations for their future. The 17-year-old has played 29 games this season and is already permanent in the Catalan rearguard. So, A.S. confirms this Friday that FC Barcelona’s priority is to protect Cubarsi. As soon as he reaches the age of majority, on January 22, the Iberian media informs us that a new contract of five additional years and with a clear salary increase will be offered to the Spanish international (2 selections). Thus, Cubarsi will receive four million euros next year before pocketing twelve million euros during the 2028-2029 vintage. A release clause of at least 500 million euros will also be attached to this new lease which would be one of the main priorities of Joan Laporta’s teams.
