Current leader of La Liga with six points ahead of Real Madrid and located in 10th place in the Champions League group, FC Barcelona has had a convincing start to the season, marked by the return of an attractive and efficient game . A nice move carried out by the new coach Hans-Dieter Flick who nevertheless had to deal with a reduced squad. Indeed, the economic situation of the Blaugranas has only allowed them to acquire two players with Dani Olmo and Pau Victor, in addition to the recent arrival of Wojciech Szczęsny free of any contract and out of retirement.

Star of this low-cost transfer window, Dani Olmo (26) fully meets expectations with three goals in five matches, even if he had to deal with an injury for almost a month. Despite this, the former RB Leipzig quickly adapted and is already proving very valuable in the system put in place by the German coach. However, FC Barcelona will have to find a solution quickly to hope to rely on him during the second part of the season. Already this summer, his inclusion in the La Liga lists took time for economic reasons.

Barça will have to decide between Olmo and Christensen

Subject to financial fair play put in place by La Liga, FC Barcelona failed to meet expectations and finally benefited from a little respite with the injury of Andreas Christensen at the start of the season to be able to register Dani Olmo. Currently, the Danish defender is making his return, but a solution has still not been found according to Sport. Worse, FC Barcelona’s economic forecasts are not as good as expected.

While the new contract with Nike should allow for a more financial attitude, the latter is not expected before January and this could block the registration of Dani Olmo – and Pau Victor – for the second part of the season . There is also the case of Libero who had acquired 9.8% of Barça Vision and had not paid his contributions. Another hard economic blow for FC Barcelona which will therefore arrive this winter less well off than expected. Only one player between Dani Olmo and Andreas Christensen can be registered and the possibility of seeing both is reduced day by day…
