Vince McMahon emerged as one of the most powerful men in the wrestling business. However, that power seemingly destroyed his image and legacy after being slapped by a sex trafficking and misconduct lawsuit, that was already hinted at before it came in front of the public eye.
WWE’s former Chairman and CEO has been accused of the aforementioned allegations by former WWE employee, Janel Grant. Moreover, a new report has indicated that a federal investigation by her representatives in New York has also been launched on McMahon.
However, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful noted on X that a federal investigation had been already conducted on Vince McMahon last summer. The agents issued a search warrant to Vince to examine his cell phone for evidence concerning the case.
Furthermore, it was stated that the investigation led to finding multiple payouts to several women, including the accuser in the case, Janel Grant.
“Federal agents last summer executed a search warrant for Vince McMahon’s phone and subpoena him for documents regarding allegations of “rape, sex trafficking, sexual assault, commercial sex transaction, harassment or discrimination” against WWE employees past and present. WSJ reported in 2022 that McMahon had made payouts to several women, including Janel Grant, who filed a lawsuit last week. These are related to sexual misconduct and cover ups. Prosecutors have interviewed several of the women.”
WWE and its parent company, TKO Group Holdings have seemingly distanced themselves from the man who created it all. Moreover, Vince McMahon himself has resigned from the board in the light of recent allegations.
In light of these new details that have emerged, we will have to wait and see if the truth is served and justice will prevail or not.
