Real Madrid defender Ferland Mendy could be sold this summer due to interest from the Premier League.

Los Blancos are reportedly looking for a new left-back in the coming months, with Bayern Munich star Alphonso Davies their number 1 option. Bayern are prepared to stand firm on their estimate of almost €50 million for the Canadian international as negotiations continue.

Mendy has been linked with a player swap, in a bid to reduce Bayern’s asking price for Davies, as both sides keep their options open.

Leave room for Davies

According to L’Equipe, Real Madrid are ready to let Mendy leave ahead of the 2024/25 season, as he enters the final year of his contract.

Arsenal are believed to be the first to push for a possible deal with Mikel Arteta looking to resolve a positional problem in his squad, but Liverpool, Manchester United and Newcastle are also keeping a close eye on developments.
