FG, Cipriani partner on Abuja smart cities

A real estate firm, Cipriani Limited, has announced a partnership with the Federal Ministry of Science and Technology on the development of smart cities in Abuja.

The partnership was sealed on Friday when the Chief Executive Officer of the firm, Segun Maku, paid a visit to the ministry.

He stated that the partnership would birth transformation in smart buildings in Abuja and its environs.

He said, “Cipriani’s partnership with the Federal Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation to develop a smart city in Abuja aims to integrate advanced technology, innovation, and sustainability into the city’s infrastructure, paving the way for a future-focused urban environment.

“This strategic partnership is particularly important as the government has now proven its commitment to identifying with 3D technology because they are the future of the construction sector not only in Nigeria or Africa but the world at large.”

Maku added that the firm launched the Design Hub Realty TV Show, which was set to revolutionise the industry, offering viewers an unparalleled insight into the latest trends, 3D designs, and developments in real estate aimed at fostering creativity, inspiring innovation, and providing valuable information to industry professionals and Nigerians.

In his response, the Minister of Science and Technology, Uche Nnaji, pledged the commitment of the ministry to improving technological advancement in the construction industry.

“The ministry will provide the necessary facilities and land needed to develop the smart cities and the needed environment to develop manpower capacity,” he said.
