Fidelity Bank, as part of its activities to mark this year’s National Chocolate Day, embarked on a series of initiatives, spreading joy and making a positive impact in communities across the country.
Spearheaded by the Customer Experience team, the bank kicked off the festivities by donating GH¢10,000 and two boxes of locally-made chocolate to New Horizon School, followed by special events honouring mothers of children with disabilities and a generous contribution to Cosmos Centre for Children with Special Needs.
Led by Comfort Armoo, Head, Customer Experience, she said the donation highlighted the bank’s longstanding commitment to inclusivity, empowering the less fortunate, and community development.
“Building an inclusive future where everyone has access to opportunity, regardless of ability, is a core value at Fidelity Bank,” she said.
“Our enduring support for New Horizon exemplifies our commitment to this principle. The interactions and conversations we share with the students here are truly enriching, reminding us to return each year and offer our love and support,” she noted.
She said, “Celebrating National Chocolate Day and the month of love presented the perfect opportunity to share these moments with our New Horizon family. We’re delighted to contribute both financial resources and essential items to their school.”
“We are deeply grateful for Fidelity Bank’s continued support over the years,” Jocelyn Adoboe, Deputy Principal (Academic Section) of New Horizon Special School, said.
“Their consistent contributions have had a transformative impact, especially during this season of love. We appreciate not being left behind, and are immensely grateful for their continued belief in our journey,” she said.
Mrs Hannah Awadzi, Executive Director of the Special Mothers Project, commended the bank for its commitment to inclusivity and urged further engagement with issues affecting children with disabilities.
Ms Lila Daisy Hagan, Branch Sales and Services Manager at the Ridge Towers branch of Fidelity Bank, emphasised the importance of addressing the needs of these mothers as part of the bank’s Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives.
Meanwhile, the Northern sector of Fidelity Bank celebrated National Chocolate Day at Cosmos Centre for Children with Special Needs in Dormaa Ahenkro.
The bank made a donation of GH¢10,000 worth of items to support the centre’s commendable efforts in providing specialised care for children with special needs.
